About Me

I am a maker. The creative force has always been with me.

I began as a dancer at age 3. Danced professionally at 17. At 21 years old,

I started making people (3 beautiful boys). They are my greatest accomplishment.

Fiber Arts became my passion during the years I was raising my children. I also delved into theatre, drawing and painting as my children grew. I was all over the creative map. And then, back to school I went to gets a Masters in History in Art while being a single parent.

I believe that being exposed to the expansive history of all those creative souls informs my work today.

I live in the Cowichan Valley where I am surrounded by nature. But my passion has always been for faces. Portraiture is always what I come back to. I currently create portraits of people and animals. Their eyes are the first place I start from…from there, I fly!
